Dear freeman Jack and Charlie Veitch,
I am writing in response to what you discussed in this radio show between 32mins onwards. You say that going abroad and starting a self sufficient society is to leave people behind on the 'slave ship' and to shy away from the fight or your 'callings'. You both agree that if there is a solution to be found it has to be within the current paradigm in order for everyone to be helped. I believe this is wrong for the following reasons;
The reason people will not leave the 'slave ship' with you is because they do not know any different, furthermore they are institutionalised to this 'slave ship' and therefore depend on it to survive. I have recently come to a lot of knowledge thanks to you and your affiliates' sharing of wisdom. With this knowledge, i have done what any active person would do and that is to try and pass it on to others. Through attempting this, it has become clear to me that not only are many people unaware of our society's wrongs, but MOST OF THEM ARE AWARE AND ARE WILLING TO DEFEND IT. This suggests that trying to change 'Joe Bloggs' opinion on the high street, when he's late back from his lunch break and on his final punctuality warning, is not going to achieve what you want. I am assuming what you want is:
-unity of the people
-a society where the publics’ interest is the priority.
What I am getting at is that starting a self sufficient community somewhere in the woods is not shying away from the fight: IT IS THE FIGHT.
I think we can all agree that the government's main aim is for us to depend on them. They want us to believe we are INCAPABLE of Peace and Prosperity WITHOUT THEM. The problem is; this is a much more comforting idea than being responsible for your OWN peace, your OWN prosperity.
By starting self sufficient communities -not hidden away; THEY SHOULD BE PUBLICISED, in itself would wake people up much faster. Those in our current paradigm would see us and think:
How come they are having such a good time?
Why am I doing this? I am, sort of, happy -but I have worked too fucking hard to fund this perverted happiness. They look, really...FREE.
With the aforementioned publication they would sooner accept an alternative lifestyle. They would see past the seduction of materialism and recognize true freedom and happiness for what it is; to freely provide, and to be responsible for ones’ self.
I'm sure you are aware that the regrettable fact is; the government has succeeded in teaching people to accept whatever they're given. I think the best analogy I can give is:
A teenager feels he is not allowed to live life the way he wants, when he does what he wants he is punished by his parents. He wants to live the way he wants to, but his parents words are FINAL. He is told if he doesn't like it he can leave. THEIR HOUSE, THEIR RULES. He is faced with the option of submitting, or leaving the house which is his Security, his Lifeline. AND SO HE WILL STAY. For his parents described how cruel and cold the world is out there; it sounds like an awful place. He decides to do what his parents tell him and learns to appreciate what liberties he is granted. He finishes his schooling like a good boy and gets enough qualifications for a well paid job. He has moved into his own house, he believes he can now make his own rules, like his parents did. But there is someone dictating everything he does, he realises they were never his parents rules, they were the rules installed in them by the person who is now dictating him.
Now, going back to when his parents offer the option to leave: If there was a well publicised stronghold out in that cold cruel world, a stronghold where people seem free and happy, not troubled and tired like his parents, he would have left in a shot.
Most families, knowingly, raise their child in a manner that allows them to succeed in the game given to them; for there is no other game. WITHOUT ANOTHER GAME THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER ANSWER.
I propose it should be our responsibility, as free minded individuals:
To devote our efforts into the making the stronghold of peace and prosperity discussed, and to publicise it so that those on the slave ship that they consent to enslave will walk away. The government has created a fenceless prison, which gives people dreams and a supposed path to these dreams. The reason it is so hard to combat the system is:
By scrutinizing the government and the path they offer to people, WE ARE SCRUTINIZING THEIR DREAMS. And dreams is something people are willing to sacrifice their life to achieve, and give their life to defend. You used the analogy of a concentration camp however this is not accurate. The motive for them to escape was created out of being forced in there. We are the descendants of generations of prisoners; our institutionalised parents have passed onto us dependence for the system. If you depend upon something, you have to be pretty ‘morbid’ to not also have faith in it. So we face the job of convincing people to reject something that they’ve been raised to have faith in, whilst looking like devils sent to test they’re faith.
For that is why our job is so hard, is it not?
I’m sorry for completely going off on one, it’s just that this is the very first radio show on a great site and its content has already labelled communes as cowardice which really troubled me. At risk of speculating too far, you could be playing into the hands of our enemy by devoting your time trying to convince people that have been psychologically, environmentally and socially pressured to ignore you.
I look forward to possibly hearing from you,
Yours faithfully,
Agentofnecessity.
